At ABL Construction Equipment, we value your personal privacy and always strive to maintain a high
level of data protection. This privacy policy explains how we collect and use your personal
information. It describes your rights and how you can exercise them.
What is personal data
Personal data is any information that can directly or indirectly be linked to a living individual. For example,
images and audio recordings processed on a computer may constitute personal data even if no names are mentioned.
Encrypted information and various types of electronic identifiers (e.g., IP addresses) are personal data if they can be linked to individuals.
Processing of personal data is anything that happens to the personal data. Any action taken with personal data constitutes processing,
regardless of whether it is performed automatically or not. Examples of common processing activities include collection, registration, organization,
structuring, storage, adaptation, transfer and deletion.
What personal data do we collect about you as an employee, and why?
ABL Construction Equipment may process the following personal data about employees.
Personal data may be collected during the recruitment process, at the start of employment, and
continuously during employment with the company.
Basic personal data: Name, personal identity number, nationality, gender, work phone number,
workplace address, home address, other private contact details, employee number, bank and
account details, operating unit, organizational affiliation/unit, employment start date, date employment
ended, managerial role, employment percentage, home country, language preference, years of service,
blue-collar/white-collar classification and, where required, other basic personal data.
For agency/contracted personnel: Employer, date the company was engaged, date the company’s contract ended, type of contract.
For performance of work and workforce planning: Manager, manager’s manager, job title, department,
division, business area, country, product line, region, location, education/skills, level of education,
work performance.
Personnel administration and other HR-specific personal data: Weekly working hours, daily working hours,
country organization, contact information for next of kin, cost center, job evaluation,
job family, employee group, monthly salary, salary development, pay grade, bonus program,
health information, rehabilitation, absence, manager, placement in organizational level, profit center, other
identification numbers for HR department, HR sub-department, any wage garnishment and, where necessary,
other relevant data for personnel administration and HR-specific personal data.
Communication: Personal data required to provide employees with access to the company’s IT systems and
networks, including internet address, work email, IP addresses and login usernames, as well as
other types of personal data that are logged when using IT systems and networks.
Why do we collect your personal data?
ABL Construction Equipment may collect and process employees’ personal data for, among other things,
the following purposes. The list is not exhaustive, but is intended to provide an overview of the company’s need
to process employees’ personal data.
– Administration and management of employment with the company, maintaining
employee records
– Internal management, planning and administration of the workforce, need for and access to different
resources, project staffing and resource allocation
– Recruitment, skills development, career planning and development, evaluation and
follow-up of work performance
– Administration of benefits, salary payments, compensation, taxes and insurance
– Administration of business travel, travel insurance, secondment and other business travel
– Providing employees with access to internal information systems and other resources,
supporting secure, reliable and efficient use of internal information channels such as email
and other internet- or telephony-based services, ensuring that business-critical information
and the company’s other assets are secure and protected
– Financial planning, reporting, budgeting and analysis
– Health and work environment
– Monitoring compliance with internal policies and other regulations, protecting the company’s property,
both physical and intellectual property rights, preventing fraud and other unlawful
activities
– Handling work-related disputes and complaints, e.g., claims for compensation, acting in accordance with
other applicable legal obligations that the company may have through the employee’s employment
with the company
The legal basis for the processing
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the performance of the employment contract. The
legal basis also includes the fact that, due to law, collective agreements or other regulations, the company is
obliged to process personal data in a certain way, e.g., in relation to the Swedish Tax Agency or
insurance companies or registration of working hours, etc. The legal basis may also consist of the company’s legitimate interest,
following a balancing of interests, to carry out the processing. In addition, the company may process personal data based on the employee’s specific consent.
If the processing is required to perform the contract or a legal obligation, the employee cannot
object to the processing. If the processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest, an objection
to the processing will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Who do we share your personal data with, and who has access to it?
ABL Construction Equipment applies appropriate technical and organizational security measures to
protect personal data against, among other things, loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
Only persons within the company who, in their employment, need to process the personal data in
accordance with the purposes stated above will have access to it.
ABL Construction Equipment may disclose personal data to data processors, other companies
within the group, or third parties as described below in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
– To recipients within the group to enable national processing of personal data for the purposes
mentioned above
– To data processors. ABL Construction Equipment may engage data processors
for business purposes as part of its normal operations, such as outsourcing payroll processing
or IT operations to an external supplier. In such cases, the company will require that such processor applies appropriate technical and organizational
security measures to protect employees’ personal data and that the processing of
employees’ personal data is carried out only in accordance with our instructions.
– To authorities if the company is obliged to do so or if the company needs to protect
its own or a third party’s rights
– To third parties in connection with the sale or other transfer of part of the company’s
business
– To third parties in connection with emergencies where the health and safety of an employee or another person
is at risk
– To third parties to safeguard the company’s rights, e.g., in connection with an employment law dispute
Some recipients of employees’ personal data may be located or have operations in a country other than
where the employee’s workplace is located, e.g., Russia or the USA. Data protection legislation may differ
in such countries. ABL Construction Equipment will ensure that an adequate level of protection is maintained for the processing of personal data in every transfer of personal data.
How long do we retain your personal data?
ABL Construction Equipment will process and store employees’ personal data for as
long as it is necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data was collected.
Some personal data will be deleted when employment ends. Other
personal data will be stored for a longer period because there is a legal obligation for
the company to retain the personal data, e.g., to issue an employment certificate or to demonstrate that
correct tax deductions have been made, or because the company needs the data to safeguard its
rights. As the time limits for bringing claims against the company expire (limitation period), the data will be
disposed of. ABL Construction Equipment may also need to retain personal data
that is related to specific projects and may therefore need to be stored for as long as the projects
are ongoing.
Some personal data may be retained for a longer period, e.g., information about
length of employment may be stored until the employee reaches retirement age under the Employment Protection Act. Documentation for
payments into pension insurance policies may be stored for as long as the employee is alive.
Your rights as an employee
As an employee, you have, among other things, the right to access your personal data, request rectification of
personal data, object to the processing of personal data, request that processing of
personal data be restricted, or request erasure of your personal data processed by ABL
Construction Equipment in accordance with the rights provided by data protection legislation. These
rights may be limited by other provisions in data protection legislation or if such a request
would be inappropriate in an individual case, e.g., due to an ongoing investigation of improper conduct.
The employee has the right to withdraw consent that has been given for certain processing of personal data.
The employee may have the right to transfer their personal data to another controller. This
applies to personal data that the company processes on the basis of the employee’s consent or to
perform a contract with the employee. The data must be provided to ABL Construction Equipment in
a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
If an employee has questions about, or wishes to exercise, any such right, the CEO should be contacted.
Employees can obtain more information about the handling of personal data through the CEO or their immediate manager.
Employees have the right to contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) with complaints regarding the processing of their
personal data.
Changes to the privacy policy
ABL Construction Equipment may make changes to this privacy policy. At the top of
the first page it is stated when changes to the privacy policy were last made. If material changes
are made, all employees will be informed separately.

the controller for the processing of your personal data. This means that ABL
Construction Equipment is responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed correctly and in accordance with
applicable data protection legislation.
